A Message from our Assistant Principal

Hello Raptors,

My name is Debby Korder and it is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Assistant Principal of Rogers Elementary School. I am honored to have this opportunity to help lead a school with such amazing students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this school and to support the staff, students, and families.

I moved to Las Vegas from South Africa in 1996. During my time in the Clark County School District I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and was a K-5 STEAM Specialist. I also had the honor of being a Learning Strategist. As a Strategist, I was able to use data to personalize individual opportunities for students to be successful. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educator and leader to Rogers Elementary School and to work with all of you as a partner in education.

I believe education is a life-long process filled with experiences and opportunities. I also bring a belief that students are the center and focus of all school-based decisions. I am excited to unite my experiences, my openness to learn, and my student-centered approach to support our students. The relationships between teachers, administrators and families are vital to the success of our students and school.

I am committed to inspire and create an empowered, diverse, and innovative learning community where all members have challenging and personalized opportunities to build upon their professional and personal growth, exhibit high levels of knowledge, and to become our future leaders.

I look forward to a wonderful year with many new adventures at Rogers Elementary School. Together we will succeed. Feel free to contact me at
